I bailed on 10 years of wanting to build a tiny layout and finally started to build a tiny layout

that's it, thanks

Needs a switchback. I love switchbacks.

Inglenook sidings plus a loop?

Nice tiny layout. I particularly like how tiny it is.

SD-40s are too mainstream. SD-38s have more class and sophistication. *turns nose*

Noted, thank you

The plan was a straight Inglenook, which ended up getting an extra track to make up for the other tracks being under-length to do it right

Tiny is its own reward

That's just like, your opinion, man

Started to put some power and brains together. Power is a 300w ATX PSU from a dark corner at Microcenter. For now, one molex rail is feeding 5v to a raspi zero, while a servo controller takes way more 5v straight off the main connector. Eventually the raspi will move to 5v standby power so it can run while the rest of the layout is shut off, and one of the 12v 6-pin rails will feed a NCE Powercab.

Nothing exploded so now I need to make the raspi talk i2c to the servo controller and get some turnouts moving.

Will the Raspberry Pi run the trains? Or just provide the power?
