Despite being named “Rail Wars!”, this fan service anime has mere scantlings for the rail fan. One of these is the fictional (in our timeline) KiHa 381, an express with gas turbine power cars.

Ironically, the epic "train crashes into the station" scene from "Silver Streak" was filmed inside an airplane hangar.

The director of Edge of Darkness envisioned intercutting scenes of nuclear flasks being moved in order to maintain a sense of tension, but understandably BR wouldn't have anything of it. So they went to a heritage railway near Leeds, where they lashed up a pair of shunters and put a shell over them to look like a mainline diesel.

The Hall of Justice from "SuperFriends" looking lice Cincinnati Union Terminal is no accident; Hanna-Barbera's parent company at the time, Taft Broadcasting, was based in Cincy.

Also, one of the most prominent proponents of preserving Cincinnati Union Terminal was former mayor Jerry Springer. Who is better known as the host of a long-running trashy daytime talk show.
